Swimming accidents could lead to spinal injuries

There are many activities that residents of the state of North Carolina save for the summer season. Swimming outside is one of those things. While some people prefer to relax in the water while using a flotation device, others prefer to be more active and at any opportunity will dive, head first, into the water. Unfortunately, this activity could be dangerous and result in serious injuries.

Teen accidentally kills boyfriend in drunk driving accident

A North Carolina teen who accidentally put her SUV in the wrong gear is now facing serious criminal charges. Her actions caused her boyfriend to die from massive head injuries. The 19-year-old is facing a charge of DUI manslaughter after blood tests showed alcohol and marijuana in her system. Her blood alcohol content registered at 0.15, nearly twice the legal limit.
